WELCOME to ST. JOHN'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH
We warmly welcome you, and we hope you find a place where you feel connected and at home.
At St. John's, we offer many ways to share God's word, strengthen our faith and serve our community.
Our worship tradition is the center of our life together. It is enhanced by our excellent music, and our choir that is "small but mighty". We invite people to learn about our worship practices and to participate in our different worship ministries because at its heart, liturgy means "work of the people".
Join us for Sunday Service (9:15am) and please stay for Coffee Hour in Persell Hall. Over coffee and cake, we have a chance to welcome newcomers, connect with friends and discuss what's on our mind.
On Fridays (6pm) we share a casual potluck meal together. We have some amazing farms in our area, and there's always lots of food, so please join us!
During the week, we gather for Morning Prayer (8:30am M, W, Th, F), Silent Prayer (8:15am Tu), Classes, Meditation (5pm W), Potlucks (6pm Tu, F) and Community Events. Please visit our "Events" page for our day-to-day schedule; we would love to meet you!
We enjoy studying the Bible, engaging in discussion and connecting with God's love and grace. Our adult education groups are stimulating and safe places where people are encouraged to speak freely.
We gather to meet Christ in Word and Sacrament, to know Christ more deeply and fully. Week after week we are sent into the day-to-day living of our lives as followers of Jesus. We have the opportunity of joining ourselves more fully to the loving, liberating and life-giving mission of God already underway in the world.
We are passionate about our ministries in the local community and beyond...including Renew Thrift Store, Libros Para Los Ninos, Ashmont Boy's Choir Camp, Community Food Shelf, Adirondack Friends of Refugees & Immigrants and Veterans Overcoming Wounds.
Join us any day of the week!
